In a world where everything is available to us on the go, it gets increasingly more difficult to unplug ourselves from the wonders of technology, even during our daily commute. The CDC describes three categories of distraction: visual (distracted eyes), manual (distracted hands), and cognitive (distracted mind). Distracted driving is one of the most prominent causes of accidents on our roadways. According to the statistics posted to distraction.gov, “In 2014 3,179 people were killed, and 431,000 were injured in motor vehicle crashes involving distracted drivers.” Here are some of the most common distractions we face in our vehicles daily.
